The interpretation economy
Parent: motivation
For 25 years the internet ran on an attention economy — shout, get eyeballs, perform on LinkedIn. It's shifting to an interpretation economy: the whole web is filtered through what an AI thinks of you. Increasingly, when someone wants to know whether to trust you, they don't ask you — they ask an AI, and an agent does the reading.
An agent won't fill the gaps charitably the way a human reader would. It needs you to prove it — structured, reliable evidence it can ingest. If you're under-specified, you get flattened into the category mean and dropped from the consideration set.
(Market thesis behind this, from a Nate B Jones video, is held in memory as the "prove-it / interpretation economy" — StandMeet is the personal version of that "truth layer.")
