Brendan Kane: the purchasable outcome (caution label)
The "one million followers in 30 days" author. The feat was real — and achieved with paid follower-acquisition ads, estimated $10k–80k depending on geography (cheap non-US followers), per close readings of the book's own account; his best documented organic month on Instagram was ~50k.
Why this file exists: his books are the first thing search returns for "how to grow fast," and the headline sells an outcome that was bought, not grown. The metric optimized (follower count) is the one jenny-hoyos-craft-is-scrapeable explicitly demotes (views-per-artifact over subscribers) — and the one every platform's judge ignores when scoring an individual post.
What's legitimately extractable: his "test ~100 content variations with small paid spend" loop is ordinary, sound paid-media practice (a paid version of experiment-per-artifact); the 3-second-hook framing is directionally right and generic.
PRINCIPLES
- Ask what the headline metric cost — a purchasable outcome sold as a method is the marketing industry's own P&L inversion.
- Follower count is the vanity axis: judges score artifacts; audiences bought at $0.01/follower neither watch nor buy.
